Open collaboration strategy (now with AI prompts)

Back when the wonderful Carol Smith and I were part of Microsoft's Open Source Programs Office (OSPO), we built this simple resource to help those new to open collaboration, or revisiting their approaches - think creatively, realistically, and tactically about their goals. Each of the six steps came from wisdom, stories and advice shared by a number of successful open projects that we interviewed as part of the process. I have since shared this resource in conference talks and with broader communities including the Red Cross.

As an update I have added AI Prompts to each step, I hope folks continue to find this useful! Full resource here (and linked from image).

a cycle of steps 1 - what problem are you trying to solve 2- who do you want to collaborate with 3 - what are the jobs to be done 40 what skills are involved 50 make a plan (people/resources/time) 6- communicate, measure, renew

Note: the resource is currently on my fork, while I sort out an authentication issue with PR to Microsoft repo as a non-employee.
